Community Garden
The Trinity Lutheran Church community garden is locate at 46 West Cherry St. in Hicksville, NY and was founded in May of 2011 for the purpose of helping to provide food to those six thousand plus individuals and families in the surrounding community who are struggling to meet one of their most basic needs. The community garden itself currently consists of thirty-three raised beds which contain a variety of fruits and vegetables. Volunteer participation is not limited to members of the congregation. The community garden is open to all who live in Hicksville and surrounding communities. All who are interested are welcome and encouraged to participate in the planting, growing, weeding, harvesting, and distribution of the produce.
