Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals
Baptisms
Our Lord Jesus Christ institutes Holy Baptism in the last chapter of Matthew saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” In the sacrament of Holy Baptism, God uses the simple plain water in connection with His word to bring about new life, wash away our sin, and adopt us into His family.
If you are interested in scheduling a baptism with us, please contact the church office to schedule a mandatory pre-baptismal meeting with our pastor.
Weddings
Trinity’s beautiful historic church is the perfect place to begin your life together as husband and wife. Couples desiring to wed at Trinity should contact the church office to reserve a date as early as possible. Pre-marital counseling is required of all couples in order to enter into these life long vows with the sincerity and commitment they deserve.
Trinity’s weddings are facilitated by a wedding coordinator who will meet with you and your wedding party prior to the ceremony to walk you through the service. A soloist may also be obtained to perform if you wish. All music, reading, and vow options will be provided to you when you schedule your ceremony.
It is best for a wedding ceremony to be held in the church. The vows that you will make to each other should be done before God, in His house, thereby receiving God’s blessing on your marriage which is the perfect way to begin your life together. Trinity is a beautiful stone church, with gorgeous stained glass windows, and is home to awe inspiring classically carved Italian renaissance doors. Our beautiful sanctuary and grounds are the perfect location for a traditional wedding ceremony and will make treasured memories while providing unrivaled photo backdrops for all your wedding portraits.
Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life and Trinity wants to help you make that special commitment to each other in the presence of our Lord. Congratulations and please contact the church office for more details and to secure your ceremony date as early as possible!
Funerals
When you lose a loved one, it is difficult to grieve your loss and plan a funeral or memorial service at the same time. At Trinity we try to make this process as easy as possible for you, while honoring the life of your loved one who has departed in the faith.
After a death, we urge you to contact the church office as soon as possible to let us know so we can minister to you during this time of bereavement and begin planning for the service. We can also recommend one of our trusted funeral directors with whom we often work closely. Having a funeral director who knows Trinity’s staff and facilities can make the process of arranging the service much easier for you during this complicated time.
After the service is scheduled, we will ask you to come into the church office so you can meet with the pastor who will perform the ceremony. At this time you will go through hymn and scripture reading options as well as help provide details of your loved ones life for use in the service. Trinity’s pastor is able to perform services both in the church or at a funeral home, but we encourage you to consider holding the service at Trinity where your loved one enjoyed worship during their life. Our beautiful sanctuary is a fitting location for remembering the promises of eternal life that our Lord made to your loved one.
Trinity will walk with you every step of the way as we arrange a meaningful worship service that honors the life of your loved one and their relationship with the Lord. Family members who need funeral services are encouraged to contact the church office as soon as possible to arrange for church and pastor availability.
