“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but
against the rulers, against the authorities, against the
cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the
spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”
Ephesians 6:12

In a vivid portrayal of our Christian Spiritual struggle against evil, Paul uses a metaphor of warfare; of us doing battle with not men of flesh, but of spiritual forces of evil. The passage continues with a detailed list of the equipment we will need to become God’s warriors, fit for battle and clothed in the Armor of God:
 A Belt of Truth
 A Breastplate of Righteousness
 The Gospel of Peace
 The Shield of Faith
 The Helmet of Salvation
 And the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
Most importantly, Our Lord tells us in Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I
will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

To God be the Glory! Amen.
