What to Expect

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! And welcome to Trinity Lutheran Church and School.

Each weekend, Trinity offers these worship services:

  • Sunday 9:00am – Live Stream Worship on Facebook
  • Sunday 9:00am – Traditional Worship
  • Sunday 10:45am – Traditional Worship (1st and 3rd Sundays) Contemporary (2nd and 4th Sundays)

In addition to our regular in person schedule of worship, we have online worship and special services that take place annually. You can find that listing here.

The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated every weekend at Trinity.

We believe that Christ’s body and blood are truly present in Holy Communion and that we receive the forgiveness of sins along with the bread and wine in this Holy Meal. As a “Family Church,” we invite those who share this understanding, and who desire God’s forgiveness and strength, to join with us in receiving Holy Communion. If you have any questions, please speak to our pastor at any time.

Children–Young children are welcome in our worship services at all times. “Comfy Bags” are available in the church, with reading bags, coloring, and other activities for young worshippers. A well-equipped Cry Room is available for parents to bring their children on Sunday mornings during worship, as well.

Sunday school classes meet during the 9:00am service, starting out in worship with their parents, and are open to all children ages three years old to grade five.

Dress–While Trinity Lutheran Church does not have a formal dress code — we invite all to join us for worship regardless of outward appearance — we do request that your mode of dress is respectful and honors God.

Parking–Trinity’s main parking lot is located between W. Nicholai and W. Marie Streets. There is additional parking available in the Town of Oyster Bay parking lot next to the school.

When to Arrive–It’s helpful to arrive a few minutes before a service begins. It will give you a chance to familiarize yourself with our building and perhaps spend a few moments speaking with our pastor or members of the Trinity family. If you are heading to the 10:45am worship service we usually have a coffee hour in progress at that time in the café. We want you to feel welcome and comfortable in our midst!

Coffee Hour–Each Sunday we have a time of fellowship between worship services here at Trinity. Beginning after the 9:00am service, there is coffee, tea, juice, donuts, bagels and at times a variety of other baked goods available to enjoy. We even have a children’s table with juice and cookies for the little ones! Everyone is invited; please join us so we can get to know each other!
