But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.’ (1 John 1:7)

As we start out on our Lenten journey, leading up to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Savior, we are reminded of the love that our father has for us by sacrificing his only son so that we will have forgiveness of all our sins, and can live eternally with him in heaven. How fortunate we are to be loved so much.

I think about how different our fellowship is right now not being able to worship in the sanctuary together like we used to.  Virtual church and bible study allows us to continue our spiritual growth in our walk with Jesus, which is a blessing.

Heavenly Father,

We are forever thankful that even during these trying times, you are the light of the world. Not being able to gather with friends and family like we used to, just knowing you are always right there besides us, gives us the comfort we need. Our focus is that you delivered us from our sinful ways through your death and resurrection. Thank you for your everlasting love.

In Jesus name we pray,

Amen
