The fact I am in the hospital makes me aware of my mortality and humanity. I am becoming a real student of humility. Platitudes about suffering stink and are ineffective. Talk to someone who knows real pain and goes through it with Jesus. Me? Maybe. Pastor Hopkins definitely. He is a blessing. He knows pain. Church must stick together as one. We must unite to persevere. Church has been relegated to non essential by society when we know it is vital. But we must stick together. If we see a brother in need we must do whatever we can to help. There is no excuse for us putting it on someone else. Or going somewhere else where we think it is better or more dynamic. Wherever two or 3 gathered in my name there I am in the midst of you. Stand firm where God has called us.
